19 of Medvedev's twenty-one victories have been won on hard courts
A resurgent Medvedev claimed his initial championship for nearly 30 months with a win over Frenchman Moutet in the Almaty Open championship match.
Medvedev, a former world number one, has had a torrid period, achieving just a single victory at the Grand Slams and experiencing a setback at the American major.
His varied form on the tennis tour - and issues with his service game in especial - caused him exiting of the elite rankings and finally splitting with long-term trainer Gilles Cervara.
Currently working with his coach and Rohan Goetzke, the tennis star has consistently improved in the past month - climaxing in a hard-fought 7-5 4-6 6-3 victory over Frenchman Corentin Moutet.
This represents Medvedev's first trophy following the 2023 Rome Masters and initial on a hard court after spring of 2023.
The win also signifies the Russian has won twenty-one championships at twenty-one various events.
"It's the first time I am participating in a event with my children at once, so to win a championship is particularly special," stated ranked player the champion.
"This victory is in honour of my second daughter her name, because the maiden victory I got when my first daughter her name was born was for her."
The tennis star, the former major winner, had been defeated in his previous six finals, comprising in Halle earlier this year.
The player's counter-punching strategy and frequent emotional displays on court had led commentators to question if his ability to compete at the highest level was over.
But the athlete has implemented adjustments in the last few weeks, making an effort to come to the net and compete assertively, supported by an improved service.
He came back from a disadvantage in the opening set against the challenging Frenchman, securing four of the concluding five exchanges to take the lead.
Both players traded break points in the following set before the Frenchman, attempting for his first tour victory, took control to push for a third set.
Moutet defended four early opportunities in a competitive deciding set before the champion broke to that score to serve for the match.
Appropriately, he secured the title with a shot at the front of the court, with his opponent failing to manage a shot after a lengthy match.
